Evening Serenade: Mozart and Tchaikovsky
Charlotte Scott (violin), Gareth Lubbe (viola), Alice Neary (cello), Matthew Hunt (clarinet), Amy Harman (bassoon), and Hellensmusic Masterclass Students
Tchaikovsky described Mozart as a ‘musical Christ’ and thought that his music had the power to inspire love. Tonight’s pair of sextets gives us a chance to enjoy both composers’ prodigious gifts for writing sublime melody, dance, and unbridled thrill.
