Education

At Hellensmusic we feel very strongly about the positive impact of music education on children and young people. One of our main goals is to motivate and inspire local kids to love music, and this is why we offer nearby schools a series of free, curriculum-complementing workshops designed to spark the younger ones’ curiosity and imagination.

Activities take place throughout the year and culminate at Hellensmusic’s School Days, two days during which the children come to Hellens to play their own compositions, sing and listen to concerts and masterclasses. We are delighted to have heard that some pupils have taken up an instrument as a result of participating in the festival!

Some of the schools we have worked and continue to work with are: John Masefield High School, Malvern St James, Sixth Form Centre and their music department, Ledbury Primary School, Eastnor CE Primary, Much Marcle Primary, The Elms, Ashperton Primary Academy, Gorsley Goffs Ross-on-Wye, Lugwardine Primary Academy, St Richard’s School Bredenbury, Bromesberrow St Mary’s Primary School.
