Sun 10 May | 11:00 AM The Great Barn
TICKETS: £15 / £40 with Sunday BBQ lunch
Beginning with the sounds of contemporary agitation and making its way toward the introspective moods of the nineteenth century, this concert invites us to reflect on the contrast between urban and natural musical landscapes. Guillaume Connesson’s Techno-parade obsesses over the mechanical, the fast-moving, and the unrelenting rhythms of modernity, while Franz Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A minor, D.667, known as the Trout Quintet, returns us to the calm, the elegance, and the whimsy of pastoral times.
