Vlad Weverbergh (clarinet), Michel Lambert (accordion), Ian Baranga (doble bass), Máté Szücs (viola).

The Belgian ensemble Trio Dor was founded in 1992, and is enjoying an international career having toured in a number of countries across Europe, as well as in South Africa and the UK. The alto saxophone, accordion and double bass are joined by viola for a programme comprising Trio Dor’s own arrangements, original music based on melodies mainly from Romania and Hungary, and contemporary Klezmer music. The mood of the pieces varies considerably, and can be melancholic at times, rousing and exuberantly joyful at others.  The ensemble’s programme is characterised by the players’ virtuosic and improvisatory skills, their interaction with one another, their radiation of intense musical fun, and their delight in making this kind of music.
